CARDIO DAY

Started my week off with my "rest" day - cardio only. Knocked out a solid hour of incline walking - good sweat session and sets the tone for the week - it's therapeutic! Definitely needed a day off of lifting - 4 days in a row last week wasn't ideal and by last night I was really feeling that. Feeling much better today - energy is on point although I'm HUNGRY today.... Holding tight for the refeed TOMORROW! WOOT!

BURNT.

I'm just DONE. Strength is fine but energy is sucking my will to live. UGH! Slept like a LOG last night but I feel like it did nothing lol Refeed is on the horizon... thankkkkkkkkk goodness.

BOOM

The rollercoaster of prep - one day I'm down, the next I'm back up. I guess that's the key thing to remember... what goes up must come down and vice versa. All bad days are temporary. Today was solid. Pissed my right knee off with leg extensions today and I'm going to have to keep an eye on that... Other than that, on point! NEW low weigh in today for this prep - 141.7lbs We're cruising now!

Toast.

Energy is at NIL. I've HIT my WALL! It's taking everything inside of me just to do simple tasks today. Workout was good - but took a long ass time to get through. Hunger levels are non-existent but I'm REALLY wanting to eat just for more energy. FRICK. Not a sleep issue cause I got a decent amount last night... just feeling the deficit. These are the days that really put you to the test in prep. Just hoping tomorrow is better. Trying to hold off until Wednesday for the refeed (my birthday!). I can do it, I can do it, I can do it!

SLEEEEEP

10 hours of sleep last night!!! Hallelujah!!!! Had a great leg sesh this morning - knocked out 60 minutes of cardio this evening. Things are cruising along! New low weigh in today - 142.3lbs We're getting THERE.

ROUGH

This has been a really terrible day all around on account of ZERO (yes you read that right) sleep last night. Pushed leg day to tomorrow as there's absolutely no way I could have done anything productive today what-so-ever. Got Russ out for a long hike this aft in an effort to stay moving... so at least that's done. Early to bed for me. Drained.

Hockey on my mindddddd!

Today was fun! Ended up going out to catch the hockey game at a pub downtown in the evening. Stayed on point with macros - drank a protein shake while I was there and then hit some broccoli and chicken once home. It IS possible to go out and enjoy yourself while on prep - and without feeling the pressures of having to partake in the food. You can say NO :P Had a solid pull session in the AM - very happy with how my upper body is looking... legs are starting to come in. I'm seeing new cuts and lines in the lower now so progress is there. All in all a good day!

Carddiooooooo

Started this week how I start every week - CARDIO! Great sweat session this morning - felt good. Increasing the incline on the treadmill each week to up the intensity consistently... Food on point - busy day with work! Off to catch up on sleep after a crappy 5 hours last night. I'm POOPED. Looking forward to PULL day tomorrow!

BACK AGAIN

Feeling so so so much better today! Solid 8 hour sleep - REALLY deep sleep - and I woke up feeling human again. Got a great session in at the gym today and I think I'm in the clear... sickness has not turned in to anything major (knock on wood). Let's hope this continues! Feeling positive about this next week.... grind time.

AND I'm DEAD.

Had to bail on leg day today - definitely coming down with something. Aches/Chills and my body was SHAKING on the way to the gym. I knew if I attempted leg day today it was not going to end well... so I'm opting for a FULL rest day today. I shouldn't be feeling this way. Hopefully rest and sleep will set me straight - we shall see. Happy with today's progress pics though - inches are down once again (even though the scale is forsaking me...) Just praying this doesn't turn in to a full blown sickness... really don't want to miss anymore gym. :(

YUSSSS

Really strong upper body session today! Pushed 120lbs on Incline BB Bench for 12 reps - that's a rep PR for me! Pulled 135lbs on Lat Pull Down for 10 reps - another rep PR! Impressed with how strength is sitting now almost 8 weeks out... If I can hang on to my strength - I'll be a very happy camper! Really pleased with how my upper body / mid section is coming in... just need the legs to catch up and I'm there. Feeling good, energy is on point, hunger is at bay given the macro drop ... we keep on trucking!

Hike Day!

Big ol' hike in the rain to start my day - got a good one in! Day off from the gym - running around doing errands/work. Got a lot accomplished today - looking forward to smashing a big upper day tomorrow!

UGH

Feeling pretty toast on the energy front today - had to modify my workout to account for that. I'm sure it will be back - just feeling a little rough at the moment. Hopefully temporary! A big ol' sleep will likely set me straight...

Pull DAY

Definitely one of my favourite days - I love pull sessions! Great pump and a solid lift. Energy was sucking a bit but strength is UP. I'm happy!

Off to a Solid Start

Monday done and dusted - busy day with work, but I managed to get in for 60 minutes of medium intensity cardio this AM. Got a good sweat going and did a roll/stretch after (I've been trying to stay on top of mobility through out this prep and it's helping with soreness/recovery - at least in my mind it is :P ) I've DECIDED to drop my macros slightly this week - carbs are coming down 15g and fat is coming down 5g. I feel like I'm on point and on schedule but I still have a good chunk of fat to lose off my glutes/thighs and I want to make sure I'm staying on schedule. I'd rather be ready for this show EARLY than scrambling at the end to dial it in ... so this is my effort to do just that. Card
