What I'm Eating (Rest Day)
MAN - I hate rest days. There was a time in my life where I used to dread going to the gym. I can't even rememeber who that person was anymore. Everything that person used to do, I no longer do. Everything that person used to hate, is what I now thrive on.
The gym has made me a new person - inside and out.
I can honestly say with conviction that the gym is one of my happiest of happy places - which is why, in a wierd way, I'm looking forward to more cardio in my program.
But - alas - today, we rest.
I took my dog for a walk and got some fresh (minus 15 friggin' degrees) air. I think he enjoyed it more than I did.
I'm feeling good today - despite being bloated and crampy.
At this point you're maybe wondering why I eat the same thing every day.
It makes shopping easier.
It makes meal prep easier.
It makes meal timing predictable.
I know how to fill myself up and go to bed without starving
- all of these things help keep me on track. Simplification is key,
I'm a creature of habit and I don't really get sick of eating the same foods ... EVER.
I think I've eaten oats with egg whites and protein powder every day for the last 3 years!
