Technology completely F'd me in the A today. It was one of those days where EVERYTHING that could possibly go wrong, went wrong. My entire business is run online - so when things go down - or I get hacked!!! - I worry.
I knew my emotions were gonna be running high - and I'm well aware that every little stress factor is amplified times a mil. while prepping - so I had a few moments where I had to close my eyes and remind myself to stay grounded.
Moral of the story - you can't control what happens to you, but you CAN control how you react to it. You can let day to day stressors get in your head and frustrate the hell out of you - or you can stop, recognize it's not the end of the world, and start seeking your solutions.
I highly recommend the book "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. It's cheesy as hell - but there are some valuable lessons in it that I keep coming back to when I have days like today.
When things start sliding in the wrong direction - stop what you're doing. Take a deep breath. Are you alive? Check. Are you breathing? Check. Is your life in immediate danger? No? Then all in all, you're OK.
Everything else is just STUFF HAPPENING ... that you can figure your way through. The important thing is that IN the moment - you're OK. You can't change what's happened - but you have the ability to problem solve and just like every other issue that's ever come up in your life.... you will find a way through it.
ACT. Don't overreact.
I'm proud of how I managed myself today - I worked my way through the issues - and I'm sure everything will be back on track soon.
Also - I was so busy with work and dealing with tech crap, I didn't have time to think about my hunger. Which is always a bonus :)
