Welp. It was bound to happen at some point. Next to NO sleep last night - but not due to anything in my control. Unfortunately Russ was sick and up all night (I'll spare you the nitty gritty but let's just say we spent a lot of time outside!)
Poor boy. He's feeling better now!
SO - obviously, very tired today. Decided to push my gym session to tomorrow instead - even though it was just an upper (shoulders/arms) I knew it wasn't going to be a good session.
The day turned out to be a productive one, though - I figured if I wasn't going to hit the gym, I might as well get all of the stuff I needed to get done off my 'to-do' list...
So lots of work. Bills paid. Errands done. Lots of running around, fixing things (my microwave, my broken washing machine...) and even fit in a hike with Russ in the AM and then another one by myself in the PM.
So - tonnes of activity to boot. And on point with macros. I was too busy running around to be hungry - which was great, because when I'm tired - I'm STARVING.
And hallelujah - I have a microwave again! So I was able to enjoy the last of my chilli WARM tonight :P and I'm excited to not have to take 20 minutes to prepare my breakfast via stove top - 3 days was enough. Not to mention washing all the pots and pans afterwards - man, I now know not to take my microwave for granted!
All in all - turned out to be a good day; however, now it's 7:30pm and I am absolutely knackered.
So - hot tea in. Epsom salt soak going down... then to bed to catch up on my ZZZZ's - and make sure tomorrow is a bomb day in the gym.
Sad I broke my awesome sleep streak but ... what can ya do.
To the competitors with small children - my heart goes out to you. I dunno how the heck you do the sleepless nights. Serious serious props to you. You're stronger than I!
